Transportation Research

The future of the nation's transportation systems depend on the research, analysis, and training done today. Throughout the spectrum, NCE has been leading the field.

NCE's experience is as extensive as the need for answers to the complex issues challenging designers and policy makers of the future.

NCE provides research and training services to a variety of federal, academic, and private clients. These services put NCE at the forefront of pavement technology. NCE's research efforts are providing the basis for the design and engineering procedures of the future. And NCE provides training services in five broad categories: process consulting, facilitation, training design and delivery, evaluation, and project management.

Pavement Engineering

Pavement networks are often the most valuable assets that many agencies have. These assets are not only expensive to replace, but are an essential component of the state, county, or city's economic health. Because pavement maintenance and rehabilitation costs are rising faster than budgets, agencies must find more efficient ways to perform maintenance and rehabilitation. Pavement management systems help the pavement engineer make informed decisions and apply maintenance and rehabilitation dollars where they are most needed.

NCE has developed a staff of experienced pavement management specialists to help agencies implement, update, and operate pavement management systems and to develop reasonable maintenance and rehabilitation programs.

Watershed Science and Planning

The NCE Watershed Science and Planning (WS&P) Group offers a variety of professional services to solve the most complex regulatory and resource issues facing our clients. NCE's technically diverse and highly skilled WS&P staff brings an integrated approach to every project.
