The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County has been awarded the 2024 Transportation Project of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers Truckee Meadows for the Oddie Boulevard/Wells Avenue Multimodal Improvements Project. This $44 million project revitalizes a 3.2-mile corridor, providing safe, convenient, and comfortable travel access for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.

During construction, NCE transitioned from CM lead into the engineer of record role at RTC’s request. NCE provided engineering design support throughout the construction process, including an independent review of the design and changes to address emergent challenges. This evolution in responsibilities was a testament to RTC’s faith in the outstanding service NCE has provided RTC over the years. NCE is honored to have been an integral part of this monumental project.
