Research, Experience, and Expertise Put to Work

Pavements and related infrastructure assets are essential components of communities’ economic health and vitality of their community. Due to the rising costs of construction and maintenance, agencies look for cost-effective ways to manage their assets. NCE understands these constraints and has worked to support over 200 cities and counties to arrive at realistic and practical asset management solutions.

Asset Management Services

NCE has more than 30 years of experience specializing in pavement and asset management services. We collect pavement and asset data using both traditional methods and high-precision data collection devices with state-of-the-art software. Pavement data include distress, roughness and structural strengths (deflection testing). Roadside assets include traffic signs, curb ramps, curb and gutters, markings, sidewalks, traffic signals and storm drains. Our engineers and technicians are certified with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)’s StreetSaver® as well as with PAVER™. Our systematic approach allows for rapid collection and analysis of large amounts of high-quality data for use in developing tailored and effective infrastructure projects and repair programs.

In many ways the coordination is so seamless that NCE operates as extended staff for ADOT.

NCE has been very instrumental in helping San Pablo move forward with our Rumrill Blvd project. It was an aggressive timeline from the onset. But they exhibited flexibility and depth of staff in assisting us with extending grant deadlines, utility coordination, right of way confirmation, final plans and specifications, to name a few. Now during construction, I have full confidence that NCE will provide us strong support in completing this important city improvement project.
